The Good Pub Guides - Hertfordshire Dining Pub of The Year 2017

The picturesque Bricklayers Arms is now an award winning 18th century, ivy clad and flint built listed building with a lovely garden, tucked away in the beautiful tiny Hertfordshire village of Flaunden which you can find at the end of the winding lanes which snake between Chipperfield and Latimer.

You are sure to receive a warm welcome from where you can enjoy the atmosphere with the pubs low wooden beams, exposed brick work and real log fire.

There’s a carefully selected wine list of over 140 varieties to suit all budgets and tastes as well as beers and local ales on tap.

The Bricklayers Arms has certainly gained an excellent reputation for its English traditional and French Fusion menu created by its Michelin trained chef, Claude Paillet (twice awarded “Chef of the Year”).

Bricklayers Arms are three times winner of The Good Pubs Guides “Hertfordshire’s Dining Pub of the Year” along with several times winner of The Foodie Guides “Restaurant of the Year” and AA’s Pick of the Pubs.

You can enjoy the same menu throughout the restaurant and pub seven days a week with dishes ranging at lunchtime from their famous home smoked fish plate (all smoked on the premises), home made terrines to their traditional cod in Tring ale batter; 21 day aged fillet Steaks and local fillet of pork bred from Worcestershire black spotted pigs. You’ll always find a selection of fresh fish dishes and vegetarian options on the menu with tantalising specials of the day. Their Sunday roasts are a must but you’ll need to book well ahead, served all day to 7pm!

In Summer enjoy lunch with al fresco dining in the garden surrounded by green pastures.

If you’re looking for a pub near Warner Bros. Studio, The Bricklayers Arms Pub is only a 15 mins drive - why not join us for lunch and visit the magic of Harry Potter.

Giles Coren, Sunday Times

“lovely place” and “the food was excellent”

Matthew Norman, The Telegraph

“Outstanding Food”

The Bricklayers Arms is only a few minutes from the M25 exits of Chorleywood or Kings Langley but don’t forget to take a map!
