The Spotted Dog, in the heart of the thriving Hertfordshire village of Flamstead, has been a public house since the c1800, now in 2016 this characterful historic building has been carefully renovated to be a warmly inviting space in which to relax and linger. Your hosts Claire and Tom warmly invite you to enjoy great food, fine ales and wines along with quality coffee from the morning café, Coffeedog.

The pub has two dining areas, the main dining area with up to thirty four covers caters for parties of various sizes and is adaptable for other functions such as weddings, wakes, club dinners and even Burns night! Our intimate private dining area is available for parties of up to fourteen and can be used for meetings, book clubs and to view selected sporting events on a big screen. A delightful intimate courtyard garden is open for an alfresco dining experience.

The menu is crafted from locally sourced ingredients. Quality meat from a local butcher also comes from fully traceable origins and has the minimum amount of food miles possible. All dishes are made fresh to order by rosette standard head chef and up and coming sous chef from Jamies Italian kitchen.
