Sharon Struckman finds a fresh way of giving bouquets

I am always on the lookout for that special something to write about and I discovered one the other morning after dropping my boys at school. There in front of me was a delivery van with photos of edible bouquets all over it.

Excited to discover more, I phoned the Stevenage-based company, appropriately called Edible Bouquets, to make an appointment. It turns out it is run by a mum-and-daughter team Dulcie Bunyan and Tara Loyd, who started the business in 2007 with the intention of delivering a fresh idea to gift giving: to make fruit the new flowers. They are both passionate about their business and offer only the freshest fruit, superb presentation and great customer service. Bunyan said the pair have always loved gift giving, and they can now help you to do the same by sending something fresh and special to make family and friends smile.

EB’s creations are all designed and put together with care and made fresh to order for everything from birthday celebrations and get-well gifts to weddings and business events. I loved the colourful pineapple flowers topped with grapes and arranged with strawberries, oranges, grapes, honeydew and kiwi; not to mention the Gourmet Dipped All Dark – a box of strawberries hand-dipped in fine chocolate.
