Fashion helped tackle cancer at Tewin Bury Farm, as more than £2,000 was raised at a catwalk show in aid of a Macmillan cancer centre at Lister Hospital in Stevenage.

More than 100 people watched the show, featuring pieces by Welwyn boutique SuSu, which was organised by the Welwyn and Hatfield Macmillan fundraising committee. Francoise Austin, committee chairman, said, ‘It was a wonderful occasion. We had a very good attendance and the fashion show was superb.’

Macmillan Cancer Support is working in partnership with East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust to improve the future for those affected by cancer. The new Lister centre will cost £2.9m and Macmillan has committed to raise £1.5m of that.
