Summer Lovin comes early to Letchworth Garden City

More than 350 guests attended a special evening at the Broadway Cinema in Letchworth Garden City on March 3 in support of the Childrens Liver Disease Foundation. The showing of Grease prompted many guests to dress up to enjoy a red carpet reception in the cinema foyer and live music in the auditorium before singing along to hits from Grease. The event raised 3,232 for CLDF, the national charity leading the fight against childhood liver disease. Joanne Hardwicks nine-year-old daughter, Olivia, was born with the chronic liver disease, biliary atresia and had a liver transplant in June 2007. Joanne said, CLDF supports us in a range of ways from holding a national conference where we can meet other families, to providing education for front line health professionals such as midwives and health visitors and funding vital research into childhood liver disease. We are keen to give something back.
