Financial services raise money for Watford Peace Hospice

THIS year's Financial Services Charity Dinner welcomed 175 guests to Sopwell House Hotel in St Albans on March 4.

THIS years Financial Services Charity Dinner welcomed 175 guests to Sopwell House Hotel in St Albans. This annual event raises vital funds for The Peace Hospice, Watford, and this year 11,000 was donated to support STARS the hospices programme to counsel bereaved children. Chairman of the organising committee, Mark Doidge, said, This is a cause close to the heart for me, my committee, our sponsors and their guests. Everyone has been very generous at a busy time for our industry. Mike Denton, managing director of the St Albans based advisory firm TISCO, said, What a wonderful way to spend an eveningfood, wine, casino, meeting some old contacts... all for the best possible of causes. In the last three years the dinner has raised over 30,000, which was dubbed A fantastic contribution by Paul Gauntlett, director of communications at the hospice.
