Hertfordshire Young Farmers hosted a fundraising ball at Letchworth Hall Hotel.

Hertfordshire Young Farmers hosted a fundraising ball at Letchworth Hall Hotel on November 6. More than 160 members enjoyed a three-course meal, dancing to DJ Giles Barr, a former St Albans Young Farmer, and were entertained by a song written and sung by County Chairman Jamie Burrows and former County Chairman James Williams about county organiser, Linda Watts. With 550 from an auction on the night, the event raised a total of 1,800 with money split between running costs for Young Farmers and local charities including Herts Air Ambulance. There are currently six Young Farmers clubs in the county with another about to be launched in Berkhamsted. The aim of Young Farmers Clubs is to serve the youth of the community and increase their appreciation of rural life.
