The Hertfordshire Women's Institute recently moved from their County House in St Albans to larger, more suitable premises, in the village of Wheathampstead.

The Hertfordshire Womens Institute recently moved from their County House in St Albans to larger, more suitable premises, in the village of Wheathampstead. They held their Official Open Day on February 10 when the WI National Chairman, Ruth Bond, cut the ribbon to mark the occasion. The new premises not only accommodate the Herts Federation offices but provide a wonderful Shop on the High Street where arts and crafts, made by many talented WI members, can be purchased at very reasonable prices. Members of the WI Executive Committee and Presidents of Hertfordshire WI Institutes together with Cllr Chris Oxley District Councillor, and Cllr Annie Brewster Vice-Chairman of the Parish Council, welcomed the WI to Wheathampstead and the local community.
