Macmillan Cancer Support will be launching its World's Biggest Coffee Morning in Hitchin on August 13

On September 24, Macmillan Cancer Support will be hosting its flagship event the Guinness Book of Records approved the Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning. People all over the county will be raising their mugs and putting a smile on their faces to help improve the lives of people living with cancer.

In 2009, Hertfordshire had more than 1,000 people taking part in the event, and Macmillan are urgingmore people to get involved this year and help raise a record breaking 180,000 throughout the county.

To take part simply get together with your friends, family or colleagues and put a smile on your face.Hold a coffee morning at home, work, school wherever you like, to register log on to or telephone 0845 602 1246.

If you cant hold one of your own events, why not come along to one of the 100s of public events that will be going on. To find a coffee morning near you log on to the Macmillan website

To launch the event and to give you a taster of the coffee and cakes you could have on September 24, why not come along tothe launch event in Hitchin Town Centre Market Square on Friday August 13between 10am and 1 pm.

All the money raised from this coffee morning and thethousands of others going on will improve the lives of 2 million people who are currently living with cancer by giving them emotional, financial and medical support.Turning their bad days into good days.
