Daily Mail and Sunday Mail columnist Liz Jones was guest of honour at a Ladies who Lunch event at Old Ford Manor Golf Club in aid of Borehamwood-based Cherry Lodge Cancer Care.

Nearly 90 women attended the lunch which raised funds for the charity via a raffle.

Organiser Tina Papasavva of Cherry Lodge said, ‘The highlight was undoubtedly the talk given by the indomitable and even terror-inspiring Liz Jones. It was an eye opener, as Liz spoke freely about the vagaries of being editor at Marie Claire magazine, a professional life surrounded by airbrushing - be it too fat, too thin or too hairy, and about coming up with the goodies for a daily column’.
