Rain showers and dark skies failed to dampen spirits at this year's Hertfordshire County Show

Rain showers and dark skies failed to dampen spirits at this year's Hertfordshire County Show. The overcast Saturday gave way to bursts of sunshine on Sunday but the weather didn't make any difference to the enjoyment of the show. Cattle, horses, sheep, tractors, clowns, face painting and lots of craft stalls and food and drink all helped the two-day show go off without a hitch. Highlights in the Grand Ring included The Devil's Horsemen, the parade of prize-winning cattle, Herts Farmers Forktruck Display, the Shetland Pony Gold Cup - sponsored by Hertfordshire Life magazine - plus the Royal British Legion Band, to name just a few, while elsewhere families enjoyed the showjumping, sheep show, vintage machinery, all-human circus and much more.
