Watford Borough Council is supporting Keep Britain Tidy's anti-dog fouling campaign in an effort to ensure dog walkers pick up after their pet.

In the last year, the councils environmental health team dealt with 162 complaints about dog fouling.

In order to encourage people to scoop the poop, our team talked to dog walkers, handed out bags and put up signs warning people not to break the law.

An increasing trend across the country is for people to bag up the pooand then chuck this on the ground! Dog poo is not only offensive but can be very dangerous carrying a risk of disease and illness.

There are over 380 dog bins in Watford, but bagged dog poo can be put in ANY litter bin including your own black bin at home.

If you would like a YUK! poster to display outside your home or workplace, please contact us on tel: 01923 226400 or by email at: envhealth@watford.gov.uk You can also report offending dog walkers on our website visit the Report it section, or contact us using the details above.
