Lights, camera, action! On Saturday 16th June from 10am-4pm The Harlequin is set to unite Watford and enable shoppers to become a part of history forever through drawing frames for Watfords first community animation film, The Foggiest Ideal.

The Foggiest Ideal is the brainchild of West Herts College and local festival company Watford Live! and will be produced by local production company Mew Lab. It will be composed of 5,000 frames created from drawings traced by Watford residents and The Harlequin is inviting shoppers to come down and unleash their creative side to become a part of the animation. All shoppers have to do is trace and colour in a picture and Mew lab will do the rest!

Once complete, The Foggiest Ideal will be showcased online and in cinemas and theatres at major film festivals around the world, highlighting the combined talent of Watford residents. More information can be found at

Erin Walsh, Marketing Manager at The Harlequin, commented, 'Were pleased to be playing host to Watford Live and The Foggiest Ideal and to be a part of such an inspiring project to unite the community. Its a fantastic chance to showcase our amazing town and the people in it and I cant wait to trace my very own picture!'
