For Mother’s Day (March 26) how about treating yourself and your mum to a spa day? I visited Center Parcs Woburn recently and while the kids whizzed down the flumes for hours on end I availed myself of the awesome Aqua Sana Spa for a few hours, OMG – it’s heaven on earth, seriously – you emerge feeling pampered, rested, refreshed et al – you can of course go to the spa for the day – no kids allowed! We are heading towards spring (at last!) and if a deep spring clean is on the menu for you, make sure you do it sans chemicals. Ditch the conventional detergents, invest in a bottle of white vinegar and a plastic spray bottle, add water and voila – you have a multi-purpose cleaning solution. Add a few drops of lavender if you want to get rid of the vinegary smell, (although it does disperse quickly).
The Janey Loves Platinum Awards 2017, which celebrates all things natural in beauty and the home, has just opened for entries. If you have a natural or eco brand do get in touch, and watch this space to vote for your favourites in the readers’ awards – a chance to win over £100 worth of organic products.
