A blend of advice sessions, shopping discounts and catwalk shows, St Albans Fashion Week from October 26-31 brings the community together for a week of fashion treats. The pinnacle of the week is the catwalk show in St Albans Cathedral – so popular that this year there will be two, featuring more than 60 retailers whose models will stomp the longest catwalk in the country in front of a 1,000-strong audience.

Julia Yule, fashion and beauty editor at Glamour magazine, said of last year’s show, ‘I couldn’t believe how enormous a production the Cathedral Catwalk Show was. It was phenomenally well put together and I thoroughly enjoyed it.’

Founded by Ellena Ophira, Hertfordshire Life fashion columnist and St Albans entrepreneur, St Albans Fashion Week has grown into a highlight of the city’s calendar. Here is Ophira’s pick of this year’s events. For full listings, pick up a brochure at participating retailers or go to stalbansfashionweek.com where you can also book tickets for the events.
