Do you know your Clydesdales from your Shires, Suffolks or Percherons?

If not, then a day in the countryside on Sunday, June 1 with a variety of Heavy Horse Breeds on parade will set everything straight. Capel Manor’s Herts Heavy Horse Show is organised by the Hertfordshire Heavy Horse Association and once again includes a Festival of Leathercrafts. This wonderful show gives you the opportunity to view stands, workshops and demonstrations related to saddlery and associated craft including:

• Breed, harness and vehicle parades – admire the Shires, Clydesdales, Suffolks and Percherons
• Craft and rural stands
• Arena events
• Dray rides
• Saddlery and leathercraft demonstrations, activities and student competitions

PLUS 30 acres of gardens to explore including an Italianate Maze, Japanese Garden and Kim Wilde’s Jungle Gym Garden to name just a few. Not to mention their very own animal corner with Kune Kune pigs, goats and rabbits.

The event runs from 10am to 5pm on June 1, with activities starting at 11am and rosette presentations starting at 4pm.

Admission: Adults £6, Concessions £5, Children £3 (5s and under go free), Family Ticket £15 (Family Ticket admits two adults and up to three children)
