The annual month-long Hertford Arts Trail is back after being postponed back in May due to the Coronavirus pandemic
The festival, which promotes arts and culture in Hertford, will see 30 artists - from sculptors to cartoonists - exhibiting their work in an array of unusual locations across 30 prime town centre locations.
You can view the pop-up exhibitions free of charge with artwork being displayed in windows and also inside premises, while being mindful of Government guidance and social distancing measures.
Some artists are also offering workshops.
Highlights include Steve Baldwin’s landscape photography in Scott Sports, Laura Burns’ delicate paper-cut artworks at Eye Mind Heart, and Sarah Core’s sculptures at Harry Joseph Tailoring.
Hertford Town Council chairman of development and leisure, Jane Sartin, said: “The Art Trail brings together artists and local businesses, and gives people the opportunity to see works of art in different settings, either by taking a tour of the whole Trail, or seeing the work of individual arts when they visit participating shops and restaurants.”
Run by the council and Courtyard Arts, Hertford Arts Trail is on from October 3-31 2020.
A hard copy of the art trail map is available to collect from Hertford Town and Tourist Information Centre, but you can also find a full list of artists and locations online.
