THE 18th century Bricklayers Arms in Flaunden was voted the best pub in which to eat in Hertfordshire. Hot on the heels of being featured in the Michelin Guide 2008, it was named Dining Pub of the Year in the Good Pub Guide 2008, which is compiled by independent writers and editors.
Owner Alvin Michaels said, 'This is a major achievement that reflects the effort my team puts in to make eating here a special experience.' The judges said they had been particularly impressed by improvements in the food and wine list since Alvin bought the pub in 2004.
