Managers at both restaurants say snails, once considered a forkful too far for most Brits, are back in favour since people tuned in to Heston Blumenthal serving up sizzling tempura snails on skewers in his televised Gothic Feast.
Resident snail expert Caroline Rveillon added, Anyone who enjoys eating mussels, clams or lobster should try snails. The texture is very similar, they are delicious and also good for you low in fat and rich in protein, magnesium and vitamin C.
