A celebration of Ware tastes

A NEW cook book has been produced to celebrate the success of Ware chefs and retailers and the variety of good food available in the town.

A NEW cook book has been produced to celebrate the success of Ware chefs and retailers and the variety of good food available in the town.
Cook Ware launched on November 6 and contains a selection of recipes from restaurateurs, food retailers and residents.
The book was the brainchild of a group of food lovers who wanted to raise the profile of their High Street and raise money for St Mary the Virgin Church.
Editorial committee member Joan Peel said, 'We have a wealth of restaurants, delicatessens and shops serving good quality food to discerning customers. Our aim is to raise funds for our historically important church, which is at the centre of our High Street, and also to share our pride in the long tradition of hospitality in our town.'
Cook Ware, priced 9.99, will be on sale in Ware at Van Hage Garden Centre, Byron's Fine Food, The Western Front Bookshop and Ware Town Council Offices as well as at Books@Hoddesdon and Books@Hertford.
