HERTFORDSHIRE'S Stuart Blackman has been celebrating after being crowned Local Food Hero for East Anglia by the UKTV Food programme Gary Rhodes' Local Food Heroes.
Stuart's company, The Country Bumpkin, based at Woolmer Green, was championed by Norfolk-based celebrity chef Galton Blackiston and beat four other contenders to the crown.
The business offers foraging days, wild food nights and hog roasts and both Gary and Galton said they were 'amazed' at how the Country Bumpkin 'shows a true passion for the environment and its ingredients'.
