St Albans acquired another restaurant last month with the opening of Kashu in the former Liberal Club building in Hatfield Road.
Owner/chef Gelsomino Picciuto, pictured, says menus will have a modern European emphasis with a wide variety of gourmet pizzas, pastas, risottos and salads, plus seasonal dishes created wherever possible from locally sourced quality ingredients.
Current highlights include roasted beetroot, broad bean and watercress
salad with horseradish cream (5.65) among the starters and locally reared lamp rump with a cannellini and thyme puree and sauted cavalo nero drizzled with olive tapenade (13.95) among the mains.
