Imagine stumbling across a classic family-run bistro in a French village.
No fuss, no frills. Just a small, but perfectly balanced menu of time-honoured dishes.
Utilising the freshest seasonal ingredients, and served in an atmosphere as warm and inviting as Maman's own dining room. It's an experience you can now enjoy on this side of the Channel, with the arrival of Bistro Gautier.
It was the brainchild of Mark Gautier, who combined his heritage (his father was a French chef, and Mark spent decades refining his repertoire of French regional dishes for everyday eating), and experience (having worked extensively in both France and the UK at all levels, from brasseries to Michelin-starred restaurants), to create a menu that reflects both his love of French cuisine and his respect for its traditions. With his own family - his children Liana and Guy, who've inherited their parents' culinary skills - Mark brought the Gallic classics to a whole new audience.
From the richest Soupe a l'Oignon to the creamiest Pommes Purees aux Truffes, this is food that reflects a lifetime's passion, presented simply and authentically.
