Grab your picnic blanket and hamper, it's time to take the family to a country show
Knebworth Country Show
This years The Knebworth Country Show takes place on August 11-12, from 10am-5pm each day in the park at Knebworth House. The family show includes birds of prey, working dogs, children's entertainment as well as arts, crafts, gifts and food marquees. On Sunday the show will feature a companion Dog Show - so bring along a canine friend and have a go.
Hatfield Country Show
The annual Hatfield Country Show take places from August 17-19, from 10am to 6pm each day. Great fun for all the family, its a chance to enjoy a real taste of countryside life in the park at Hatfield House. Attractions include arena display, marquees, dog show, steam and vintage vehicle, childrens farm, rural crafts, dancing sheeo and traditional breeds show.
August bank holiday sees the Ashwell Show take over the village on August 27 from 8.30am to 5pm. Equestrian rings start at 8.30am and continue all day while main ring & attractions ring events run from noon. Now in its 90th year, Ashwell show is one of the longest running country shows in the area and the largest in North Hertfordshire achieving up to 10,000 visitors on the single show day.

Coopers Country Show. August 18, noon-4pm, Coopers of Stortford, Bishops Stortford. Lots going on with produce classes, dog shows, treasure hunts, face painting and much more. Money raised will go to Isabel Hospice.
Chilli Festival. August 26-27. 10am-5pm, Benington Lordship. Started in 2006 the Chilli Festival attracts thousands of visitors, and offers the chance buy Chilli plants, products and sample foods from around the world.
Knebworth Vintage. August 26-27, 10am-5pm, Knebworth House. Stylish vintage clothing and retro market, featuring 50s day dresses, haute couture, modern collectibles, objet dart and memorabilia, plus vintage cars.
