The Grove has unveiled Jimmy’s Lodge at The Grove, a winter pop-up restaurant in collaboration with ‘pop-up king’ Jimmy Garcia

Jimmy’s Lodge at The Grove takes over The Stables restaurant at the luxury Hertfordshire hotel with its Alpine-inspired pop-up, serving a variety of winter warmers from now until mid-January 2021.

Complete with rustic wood beams, cosy corners and Alpine-chic decor, Jimmy’s Lodge at The Grove is the ideal setting for residents to hunker down after a day out on the golf course, relaxing at the spa or partaking in the estate’s many wintertime family activities.

The pop-up restaurant will offer a ‘mountain-inspired’ menu, with dishes including maple-glazed pumpkin, seasonal game dishes, sharing steaks with skin-on parmesan and truffle fries, as well as the ultimate Alpine indulgence - Jimmy’s legendary cheese fondue, complete with sourdough and pickles for dipping.

For little ones, a children’s menu will serve hearty favourites including a 3oz beef burger and a triple-chocolate brownie.

Best known for his pop-ups on London’s Southbank, Jimmy Garcia strives to create unique gourmet experiences, from interactive riverside BBQs in the summer, to snow-globe dining in the winter and even a three-course dinner served on the Emirates Cable Car across the river Thames.

The five-star Grove hotel, spa and golf resort offers the perfect country escape for year-round staycations.

The former home of the Earls of Clarendon, the 300-acre estate boasts three dining options, a world-class, 18-hole championship golf course and transformative spa treatments, as well as a 22-metre indoor pool, Jacuzzi, heat experience rooms and a state-of-the-art fitness centre.

Family activities include archery, junior golf camps, forest camps, Segway tours, woodland hawking walks, archery, laser shooting, cycling and more.

During October half-term, The Grove will also host a two-night family staycation in partnership with Football Escapes, including daily children’s football coaching by former premier-league players.

Nightly rates at The Grove start from £325 for a West Wing Superior Room, on a room-only basis.
