St Albans Polo Club will be opening its doors to fundraising events over the coming months after deciding to run as a charity venue during the 2014 season

After the success of its Polo for Heroes and Polo for Chelsea Pensioners games last season, the club has announced it will be hosting more charity events this year to fundraise for worthy causes.

The first event of the season is Polo for Heroes on June 28, when a military team will take on a team of civilian players captained by boxing legend Steve Collins. Ticket sales will go to Help for Heroes.
