Well over 1,000 people and dogs of all shapes and sizes attended the event

The annual event, featuring a mass dog walk around the estate, a fun dog show and agility classes, raises funds for Digswell Place Group Riding for the Disabled in Welwyn GC.

This year, more than £5,500 was raised, meaning the charity can buy a new pony to offer more therapeutic rides for adults and children.

Caroline McFarlane, chairman of the group, said, ‘The fun dog show is always a very special attraction and brings so much joy to the handlers and their dogs and smiles to the spectators’ faces. Thank you to everyone who took part and came to support.’

The charity currently helps people aged between two and 65 with a variety of disabilities. Riding helps core strength, balance, speech, coordination and socialisation. For more information about Digswell Place Group Riding for the Disabled, go to digswellplacerda.org.uk or call 01707 332159.
