NEWLYWEDS Charlotte and Westley Crouch discovered their dream home at Hertfords Balls Park while they were walking their dogs a few weeks before they were married.
They came across the houses being built by Explore Living as they followed a footpath through the 60-acre grounds surrounding the development.

The 27-year-olds had been looking for a house to move into straight after their wedding so they could begin their new life in a new home.

Charlotte explained, Westley and I were living in Bengeo in an old property which constantly needed maintenance. Each morning we would drive our two dogs to a park or woods so they could have a run and one day we decided to venture to Balls Park. We were walking through the parkland and saw all the signage for the new homes.

It seemed like a great idea to live within parkland where we could step out the front door with the dogs and go for a walk.

We looked through the show houses several times and in the end actually decided to buy the three-bedroom show house itself, which was great because the John Lewis interior design team had made over the interiors beautifully. Plus the specification in the homes was above our expectations and very different to what we had seen in other new-build properties.

The development doesnt feel like its in a town centre. When we look out the window in the morning, it feels like we are in the middle of the countryside. The house itself is spacious with three double-bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living space and kitchen, which has all the integrated appliances we needed.

The latest release of properties at Balls Park includes seven new build three-bedroom houses, all of which are positioned behind impressive electronically operated gates.
The country style detached and semi-detached houses mimic the sites famous mansion house. Prices start from 575,950. One and two-bedroom apartments are also available at the development with views over the parkland. Prices from 294,995.
