TALK: A HISTORY OF WEDDING DRESSES


Get ready for the Royal Wedding! Museum manager Ann Wise looks at wedding dresses since 1800, worn by royal brides and the not so rich. From 10.30am to noon.

Sunday 3 April


MOTHERING SUNDAY AT THE MUSEUM


Treat your mum to a visit to the Museum and shell receive a complimentary cup of tea and slice of cake,


Offer only available to visitors paying admission.


Museum open on Sundays from 2 to 5pm.

TALK: YURI GAGARIN A CELEBRATION


April 12 sees the 50th anniversary of a momentous step in human history - the first man in space. Yuri Gagarin took off from the Baikonur cosmodrome on 12th April 1961 and returned safely to earth. Join people across the world celebratingYuri's Night bycoming to a talk given by Terry Ransome and discover why Yuri is Terry's hero. Terry visited the Baikonur Cosmodrome in 2003, explored Yuri's house there, and was inspired to research more about the events that led up tothisamazingachievement. From 7.30 to 9pm.
