A summer of dinosaur fun at Letchworth Museum

Letchworth Museum's exciting interactive summer family exhibition 'The Age of the Dinosaurs' is now open.

Letchworth Museums exciting interactive summer family exhibition 'The Age of the Dinosaurs is now open.

The exhibition includes fossils, models, interactives and some illustrations by James Mayhew from his books 'Katie and the Dinosaurs' and 'Boy'. You can become a fossil finder in the dinosaur dig, guess what dinosaurs ate and why they might have died out.

You can meet some dinosaurs face to face, and there will be fun events through the summer linked to the exhibition, such as our story time for little ones on August 3 and our craft activities on August 5 and 19.

Don't miss the chance to meet Dr Dinosaur on August 12, who will explain how scientists gather information from a dinosaur dig and show you some real dinosaur bones.

The Age of the Dinosaurs runs until Saturday September 11. Summer events are:

  • Toddler Afternoon: dinosaur craft August 2, 1.30pm-3pm, FREE

  • Storytime August 3, 2.30pm 3pm, FREE

  • Make a dinosaur diorama August 5, 11am-12.30 and 2pm-3.30pm, 1.50 per child

  • Saturday Club: dinosaur Delights August 7, 11.30-1pm, 50p per child

  • Dr Dinosaur presents: Discovering Dinosaurs August 12, 11am-12noon, 3.50 per child

  • Make a Dinosaur August 19, 11am-12.30 and 2pm-3.30pm, 1.50 per child
