Hard-working stewards from the Hertfordshire County Show attended the shows Queens Award for Voluntary Service presentation evening on April 13 at the Holiday Inn in Markyate. Lady Verulam, as Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, presented the QAVS Lapel Badges to 80 stewards. Also attending the event Tim Hutchings and Richard Walduck. Show secretary Mike Harman says the show, this year taking place on May 28 and 29, would not be possible without the stewards helping out over the two days.

The lapel badges were presented in recognition of their work gaining the Royal seal of approval last year when the Stewards of the Hertfordshire County Show were announced as one of 103 UK volunteering groups to win The Queens Award for Voluntary Service, the MBE for volunteer groups, for their collective support and contribution to the show.
