The annual St Georges Day lunch organised by the St Albans Chamber of Commerce was held at Sopwell House in St Albans on April 23. The chamber welcomed its biggest ever turnout with 280 people. After a three-course lunch and rousing renditions of Land of Hope and Glory and Jerusalem, comedian Helen Lederer entertained the guests. Helen is an Ambassador for The Princes Trust. Rich Simmons, a Young Ambassador for the trust who has previously benefited one of its grants to found Art Is The Cure, also gave a talk. Rich then showed his skills on stage, producing a piece of art which became the first lot in an auction. The auction raised 13,660 for The Princes Trust.
