THE ninth charity dinner dance hosted by Hope and Homes for Children was held on June 19 at Amwell Cottage, Wheathampstead. The 180 guests gathered to view the silent art auction and enjoy a glass of fizz while Noah Shaw from Roundwood Park School, Harpenden, entertained the crowds with his piano playing. A candle-lit dinner was held in a marquee which also featured black and white photos of children from the charitys projects. After a charitable flutter at the casino, guests danced into the early hours to the sounds of Giles Barrs disco. The evening raised 10,000.
