More than 200 guests gathered in marquees in Furneux Pelham on May 4 to browse the gardening and plant stalls for inspiration

More than 200 guests gathered in marquees in Furneux Pelham on May 4 to browse the gardening and plant stalls for inspiration. The stallholders, included Saggers of Newport, Hopleys of Much Hadham and Js Pots, who went on to exhibit at The prestigious Chelsea Flower Show. After lunch speaker was horticulturist Christine Walkden, resident gardener on the BBC TV, One Show. Christine gave a talk about her life as a gardener and also held a gardeners question time. The event, organised by Barbara Doherty and the hospices Special Events Committee, raised 5,000.
