Harpenden based Musicale Wind Band is looking for new members and is holding an open rehearsal.
Harpenden Musicale was started by Gillian and David Johnston in their front room 33 years ago, and moved to Homecroft on the corner of the St Georges school site in 2002.
Rehearsing regularly on Tuesday evenings, the band is conducted by Lilly Bathurst, a regular performer in orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic and the Halle. The band plays a wide range of music from Bach to Bacharach and rehearsals are very relaxed and great fun. The band performs at least one concert a year and is looking for other opportunities to perform if numbers increase.
Players need to be at least 18 years old and be around Grade 3 (ABRSM) or better. Anyone interested is asked to contact Harpenden Musicale in the first instance or bring their instrument on March 2.
