Two Stevenage charities were among the beneficiaries of a record-breaking evening for Stevenage employer MBDAs annual Charity Dinner. TRACKS, a pre-school nursery for autistic children, and The Hertfordshire Society for the Blind will each benefit from 10,000 from the event, which raised a record-breaking 130,800 on the night for ABF The Soldiers Charity, Royal Airforce Benevolent Fund and Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity, as well as the six charities local to MBDAs sites. Compered by David Croft of BBC Radio 5 Live, the night featured recollections of the 1966 World Cup from Sir Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters, along with a grand auction.
