... and a fireman or two!
The 2009 Grove House Midnight Walk takes place on Saturday, June 27 starting in Verulamium Park and this year the event promises to be even bigger and better.
All the money raised from the Midnight Walk goes to support the fantastic work carried out by Grove House Hospice caring for people in the area with cancer and other life threatening illnesses.
Walkers are still needed and there is still time to register to join in and support this great cause. Simply visit www.midnightwalk.org or call the Midnight Walk hotline on 01727 731002.
To encourage you half way round the 10-mile walk the firemen from St Albans fire station will be on handing out water and Mr Kipling cakes and you never know they may offer a fireman's lift to the finishing line!
Kathryn Wash , Events and Marketing Fundraiser, at Grove House says, 'We once again need the women - and men in skirts - to come out in force to support Grove House and help us reach our goal of raising 150,000 for the hospice. We already have hundreds of women signed up but we still need many more to sign up so that we can reach our fundraising goal and ensure that we are able to continue offering high quality care to everyone who needs our support.'
Come in pink, come with friends, make new friends and be a hero for the night. Become a Midnight Walker today visit www.midnightwalk.org
