The second Ian Swanston Charity Ball was held at Sopwell House Hotel in St Albans

The second Ian Swanston Charity Ball was held at Sopwell House Hotel in St Albans on May 8 in aid of the National Association of Colitis & Crohns and was attended by 150 guests. Event organiser Anne Swanston has held the ball for the second year running in memory of her late husband Ian, who died suddenly in October 2002. Anne also organises a Charity Golf Day annually, held at Aldwickbury Park Golf Club in Harpenden, in aid of the National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society. The event was a huge success and brings the total raised from both events to over 100,000. Anne was delighted with the support, and extremely proud that friends and family so readily support her in raising funds in memory of Ian, for two very worthwhile charities.
