A Christmas party was held to raise funds for Welwyn Garden City-based Isabel Hospice on December 4. Jingle Bell Rock proved to be just that, a party that rocked. The 300 guests danced to the fabulous 60s covers Overtures Band at Tewin Bury Farm Hotel, Welwyn. The silent auction included a VIP theatre trip to Inherit the Wind at the Old Vic and an introduction to its star Kevin Spacey, also a luxurious stay at an apartment in Mallorca, plus Christmas hampers and Xmas trees. One of the highlights of the evening was a superb Michael Jackson tribute dancing troupe. Isabel Hospice Life Vice President, Barbara Doherty MBE would like to thank Tewin Bury, all those who attended, the volunteers, and the Isabel Hospice Special Events Committee. The event raised 17,000 for the hospice.
