With just over five weeks to go until Christmas, start your shopping and raise money for charity at the same time with a special Christmas shopping event.

YMCA Central Herts is holding a Christmas Shopping Evening on Tuesday November 17 at Hertford House Hotel from 7pm. The event is ideal for people who would like to have a fun evening out with friends and family, buying gifts for Christmas while raising funds for and awareness of the YMCA Central Herts.

Hertford House Hotel Events Manager Karen McCarthy said, Hertford House Hotel is really pleased to be working with YMCA Central Herts as the venue for the Christmas Shopping Event in November. We envisage the evening will be a great success and hope to raise awareness for such a worthwhile charity, where fundraising makes a real difference to the people they help and transforms local lives.

Stalls confirmed for the evening include The Body Shop, as well as local companies including: Barbara Martin Studios which create bespoke jewellery and millinery; Just the Thing in Hertford which sells unique gifts; cards and wrapping paper from Phoenix Trading; womens and mens clothing from Dilemma Boutique; Christmas hampers, homemade condiments, jams and chutneys from The Chefs Pantry; a selection of handbags from ethnic leather to designer inspired designs from The Bag Ladies and Ladybug; image consultancy by House of Colour; nails by Maggie; hair by Jaydean; and make-overs by Gorgeous Glamorous.

Tickets are 10 each, which entitles you to a complementary drink and canaps served on arrival. Hair and beauty demonstrations will be given throughout the evening, plus a raffle with luxury prizes to be won.

Please contact Marie Cuffaro or Sally Mayor at the YMCA Fundraising for further information and to purchase your tickets please phone 01707 290717 or email marie.cuffaro@centralhertsymca.org.uk
