Rehearsals for Cuffley Players' 'Kindly Leave the Stage'

The Cuffley Player's Autumn Production of 'Kindly Leave the Stage' takes place from 17th-20th November, 2010.

The Cuffley Players Autumn Production at Cuffley Hall, Maynard Place , Cuffley, Herts, is Kindly Leave the Stage by John Chapman.

Married couple Charles and Madge are having dinner with old friends Rupert and Sarah when, out of the blue, Rupert and Sarah announce that they intend to divorce.

Rupert begins to pack when Sarahs mother arrives unexpectedly. Then Rupert needs a prompt and it becomes obvious that this is actually a play within a play, which turns into a real life expose of the goings-on and petty jealousies within the company.

When veteran Shakespearian actor Edward makes his entrance in the second half, the actors try to continue with the play for his sake as he has his new agent in the audience.

Chaos reigns and it is up to Angela the prompt to bring down the curtain if only she can get the management out of the pub!

The show runs from Wednesday 17th to Saturday 20th November. Performances begin at 8pm with a Saturday matinee at 3pm. Tickets are 8 with a first night reduction price of 7 on the Wednesday evening. Tickets are available from the Box Office on 01707 873856.
