CHRISTMAS is getting underway early for Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust aswe transform St Albans Town Hall into a winter wonderland for our Festival of the Trees. On the weekend ofDecember 5 and 6 our flagship community event will showcase more than 50 sumptuously decorated trees and raise vital funds to protect local wildlife.
More than 50 local community groups will take part in the Festival, decorating trees and providing entertainment for festival goers. By hosting our first ever Festival of the Trees event, were aiming to raise lots of money to protect wildlife and wild places across Hertfordshire and provide a fantastic start to the annual festivities.
The HMWT badger will be moving into St Albans Town Hall for the two public open days, giving children the opportunity to meet and have their photo taken with our mascot. Face painting will be available over the weekend too.
On Saturday December 5 and Sunday December 6 the trees will be shown off from 10am to 4pm and visitors to St Albans Town Hall will be able to vote for their favourite tree.
