Photographer Adam Hollier has undertaken a major project to capture the people of his hometown of Tring in a series of portraits published in a book this month

Wondering how to mark the fifth anniversary of his photography business, Adam Hollier landed on an ambitious project to give something back to the community in which he works – a book of portraits, capturing the people of Tring.

‘Tring is a very special town. A project like this wouldn’t work in many other places,’ Adam explains. ‘We have a unique sense of community here.

‘I want to record a moment in time which features all the friendly faces in the town.’

Portrait photographs were taken on several dates in different locations across the town in June and July and anyone with a connection to Tring was invited. Hundreds turned up. The Hospice of St Francis in nearby Berkhamsted will benefit from sales of the coffee table style book.
