On the March 1st, 140 ladies lunched at Lussmanns, Bishop's Stortford. The Lussmanns Fashion Show in association with CAZFEST 2010 is one of the first in a series of charity events in the lead up to the music festival on the July 4, 2010.
This event was the brainchild of Tia Mariutto a keen supporter of Cazfest and Mother, who had the impetus to create a charity fashion show as a way of raising money, and as an opportunity to showcase fashions from local boutiques.
The ladies only lunch included a silent auction and the offer of your own personal chef. They had a wonderful day and raised just over 3,000 for Cazfest. Local hair dresser John at Harpers styled the models hair and Dolly of Hertford along with Virgo and Aristocrat of Bishop's Stortford showed their Spring Collections.
Debbie Godfrey, co-organiser of Cazfest, also had the opportunity of highlighting the upcoming CAZTEST. The Caztest is the Moniker that the group have given to the Heart Screening that will be taking place at The Bishops Stortford High School on March 13, 2010. The test is a result of tireless campaigning by the Cazfest team, who through Cazfest 2009 have been able to offer the screening, initially to 120 young people at The Boys High and in the near future the screening will be taking place at The Bishops Stortford College. Twelve young people die every week from undetected heart conditions and with the support of the charity CRY the team hope to raise awareness and help detect for anomalies in young people.
There is plans for a series of events to take place over the next few months before the live music festival on July 4th.
