REGULARS at the Chequers Inn at Woolmer Green helped raise 7,500 for Herts Air Ambulance with its fourth annual Charity Cycle Ride and Auction.

More than 60 cyclists of all ages took part, starting and finishing at the Chequers and visiting nine other village pubs around the area.

Every year the cyclists taking part in the ride wear fancy dress and this years theme was the 1960s with everything from the Thunderbirds to Hippies and even the winning England team of the 1966 World Cup.

The pub has now raised more than 50,000 for the air ambulance.
