First Eco Film Festival for Hertfordshire

TO mark the launch of East Herts Council's new Climate Change Strategy, the council has teamed up with four local environmental groups to organise the region's first Eco Film Festival.

TO mark the launch of East Herts Councils new Climate Change Strategy, the council has teamed up with four local environmental groups to organise the regions first Eco Film Festival.


Taking place at Castle Hall in Hertford on April 24, the free event promises an afternoon and evening of entertaining, provocative and inspiring environmental films, plus creative workshops for the whole family.


As well as the film programme there will be a series of free workshops suitable for young people of all ages and visitors will also be able to enjoy locally sourced and Fair Trade food, and help build a living sculpture the Forest of Ideas.


The festival will be presented and hosted by members of East Herts Council, Three Villages Eco Group, Transition Hertford, Brickendon Reduce, Reuse and Recycle Group and Datchworth Climate Change Group.


East Herts Councils executive member for environment and conservation, Cllr Terence Milner, said, The Eco Film Festival is the ideal way to find out how you can do your bit. Therell be plenty to see and do for both adults and children, so come along to find out about the strategy and enjoy these thought-provoking films.
