Hertfordshire County Council is starting a three month consultation into plans for future transport provision in the county.

On Wednesday September 22,the county council will publish the draft Local Transport Plan for the county which sets out its suggestions on how all elements of travel and transport in the county should be provided. It then needs the views of the public and the county's transport operators before producing a final plan that will guide transport funding for the next 20 years.

The plan and its supporting documents will be on the county councils website, www.hertsdirect.org/ltp, from September 22 and a summary document will also be available in public libraries. The consultation runs until December 1, 2010 and includes a meeting on November 4 in Welwyn Garden City to which transport operators, interested organisations and residents are invited.
