It was a great atmosphere and a great day.I really enjoyed taking part in the runwith so many people from the local community. It s a fantastic event and I would encourage anyone who is even just thinking of taking part in the run to sign up for next year. It is a great event right here on our doorstep.'
The 2010 winner was Marcin Fudalej who set a new course record of 32:56. The winner of the womens race was Claire Miles who had travelled down especially from university in Birmingham to take part in the race. She said, This is an amazing event and I cant wait to be back next year.

Geoff has joined the many other runners in raising sponsorship from his run. To date Geoff has raised over 5,000 on JustGiving.com. The HERTS 10K took place on what is viewed by many as one of the luckiest days in the calendar 10.10.10. The HERTS 10K was certainly blessed with good fortune when it came to the weather with conditions perfect for runners. As the majority of the runners were crossing the finish line the sun came out and gave the field a wonderful golden glow as everyone basked in their achievement that day.
