Over the May Bank Holiday weekend, a team of 13 staff from St Albans based law firm SA Law will be cycling 300 miles in aid of Keech Hospice Care.

SA Law is taking part in the Olympic Gold Challenge to cycle 2012 miles before the opening ceremony of the Olympics. The thirteen cyclists, made up of staff from every part of the firm, will each be cycling from Lands End back to St Albans to raise 12,012 for Keech Hospice Care. Their epic journey will take four days, averaging 75 miles a day.
Last year SA Law Partner Rob Ryall was appointed as a trustee for Keech Hospice Care and all money raised will be in given directly to the charity which cares for terminally ill adults and children with life-limiting illnesses. The hospice also offers emotional and practical support to families and friends.

What better way to celebrate our new partnership with Keech than completing an Olympic challenge on their behalf? says Rob Ryall. Keech does outstanding work in very difficult circumstances. This cycling challenge pales into significance in comparison.

SA Laws Head of Community Leyla Fuad adds, When we approached Keech to tell them about the Gold Challenge they were delighted and have been incredibly supportive. We are particularly proud to be able to support them, especially as 75% of the Hospices income is generated through charitable donations.

The bike ride is going to be hard work but the team have all been training since February through rain, ice, wind and shine with invaluable help and support from St Albans based Health Performance Centre whose expertise has helped ensure everyone taking part is in tip-top shape and ready to face the thigh-burning hills they will encounter on their way.

The team includes Rob Ryall (Partner & Keech Trustee), Steve Ryan (Managing Partner), Terence Ritchie (Partner), Simon Walsh (Solicitor), Stuart Sproule (Solicitor), Oliver Hebdon (Paralegal), Leyla Fuad (Secretary), Steve Brown, Steve Kenneford (Senior Associate), Victoria Thomson (Marketing Co-ordinator) and Katie Watson (Marketing Administrator).
