It’s quite liberating to know we will soon be immersed in a new season. An onset of new trends are coming, including this autumn/winter’s go-to colour – red.

This might shock those familiar with my predilection for all things black – but I’ve got a thing for red as its connotations have always spoken to me. But how can a colour be so rewarding when done right and yet most unforgiving when done even remotely wrong?

Red is not a colour to take advantage of, you need to treat it with respect, otherwise it could embarrass you for years to come and you’ll never have the courage to wear the colour again.

So how do we broach the colour of rage and love? We can’t avoid it that’s for sure – it’s been all over the cat walks.

What if I said there is a tone of red that is rich, deep, looks amazing on all skin tones and lends itself perfectly to this season? It’s oxblood.
